Suntory is a leading brand of beer and spirits in Japan, even if people do not drink, they must have heard of the famous Japanese whisky before! This time, I am not introducing their spirits but their Chu-hi.
Brief introduction of Chu-Hi
Chu-hi is composed of shochu and carbonated water. It can be derived into many flavours depending on what you add during production. Suntory is the company that built the trend in Japan, not Asahi or Kirin! What makes it great is the low alc%(Normally 3%-9%) and well-balance of sweetness and bitterness, people who do not like drinking beer can still enjoy Chu-hi!
Horoyoi Range
Horoyoi is the most common brand and the starter of the Chu-hi trend in Japan, this range only produce Chu-hi with 3%Alc, not too strong but you still taster the bitterness of shochu. They now have 17 standard flavours to sell in the Japanese market, but they also offer limited editions based on seasonal changes. For example, Cherry rose in spring and watermelon with salt in summer.
Standard flavours:
From Left to Right:
Grape, Peach, Cola, Ice Tea, Honey Lemon

It is a shame that it is not selling in other countries apart from Asia, so why not come to Japan and have a try?
